Lucid UX 2.4 3D Three-Lane Visualization

Lucid has launched a UX 2.4 software update for Air sedan owners and it comes with major UI changes, enhanced ADAS, and new features.

The enhanced Advanced Driver Assitance Systems (ADAS) enables four new features highway assist, lane change assist, extended stop/go, and 3d three-lane visualization.

Highway assist uses high-definition maps to provide information on HOV lanes, exit scenarios, lane merges, and splits. Highway assist can also be used on curves for a more adaptive driving experience.

Lane change assist allows drivers to change lanes with a long press of the turn signal. Once engaged, the screen will show turn indicators on the screen.

In the heavy stop-and-go scenario, the car will resume traveling after longer stops in traffic if the driver is still looking ahead with extended stop-and-go capability.

Lucid is bringing new 3D lane visualization to provide a clear view of the surrounding vehicles. It uses on-board cameras, and sensors to map the driveway and all vehicles in real-time.

Furthermore, the company has optimized an adaptive cruise control system with automatic curve speed control.

Voice Assitant

The premium EV maker launched the new Lucid Assitant for voice interactions. You can start using this feature by pressing the microphone button on the steering wheel or saying “Hey Lucid”.

Then you can ask the assistant to control the navigation, and audio system, change climate control, enable heated seats, access the owner’s manual, and more.

With this launch, Lucid has replaced Alexa in its vehicle and it can be enabled or disablced from the settings.

Wireless Apple CarPlay

The center instrument cluster can now display turn-by-turn instructions while using Apple CarPlay for navigation.

User Requested Upgrades

  1. Lucid will automatically close the Park Distance Warning, Surrounding View Monitoring, and Rear View Monitoring screens when the vehicle speed crosses 6mph.
  2. In Reverse, Lucid Air’s HomeLink universal device on-screen controls will appear.
  3. The company has improved the Lucid Mobile app for speed, performance, and efficiency.

Rollout

Lucid is sending a UX 2.4 software update starting today in North America over the air (OTA). Owners will see the update notification in the car and via the mobile app.
