Tesla Cybertruck Autopark

Tesla is rolling out the vision autopark feature for Cybertruck and now we have the first demonstration video of this capability in action.

The rollout is currently limited to selected owners and @WholeMarsBlog is one of them. The prominent X social media user account has posted autopark demonstration on the Cybertruck.

It shows the Cybertruck moving wheel on its own for the first time, a sign of FSD’s upcoming launch for this EV. The company has already made it clear that Cybertruck will get its self-driving upgrade by this month.

While driving at low speed in a parking space or lot, the display will show available parking spots through on-screen visualization.

You will see available parking spaces in a blue rectangle with a “P” symbol to show availability. As the vehicle moves, these spots will continue to be highlighted based on their availability throughout the parking space.

Once finalized, you need to tap on a highlighted parking spot and then the “Start” button on top of the screen. Afterward, release the steering and the car will start auto parking.

The feature utilizes different different onboard cameras to maneuver the Cybertruck. These views can be seen on the display alongside computer visualization.

The vehicle will gradually move into the parking spot and stop once parking is completed. Similar to FSD supervised, the driver needs to be attentive when the autopark is engaged and ready to take the wheel in case of any unnecessary move. After parking, the display will show “Autopark Complete” and disengage the feature.

This is the first wave of rollout and more users are likely to get it with new software updates.

“We should change that so the yoke is stationary, as it is not mechanically coupled to the wheels. Same goes for when it is on Autopilot” Elon Musk, Tesla CEO reacted to this video.

However, a question arises about how it will reset to the correct position if the driver has to take control of the vehicle in the required scenario.
