Mercedes-Benz has announced that its electric vehicles (EVs) will gain access to fast DC chargers via Tesla NACS using a fast charging adapter.

North American Charging System (NACS) is a charging connector that enables DC fast charging via Tesla’s Supercharger network with more than 20,000 supercharger posts.

Starting February 4, 2025, Mercedes-Benz EV will gain access to NACS via its apps and native payment system. This adapter sits on top of the charger and works as a bridge between the charger and Mercedes-Benz EVs.

To start charging, you need to validate your Mercedes-Benz-approved adapter by going into “Charging Status & Settings” and seeing the NACS DC Adapter.

Once verified, NACS-enabled fast charging stations will appear on your vehicle navigation display and app and will be included when routing your journey.

All eligible owners will be notified in early 2025 and adapters will be available through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers.
