New Tesla Model Y

Tesla has now started new Model Y production across all of its factories around the globe to mark the full-blown production of other models than the Launch Series.

The company has also shared two pictures of the new Model Y with signs of the entire Giga Berlin team to mark the start of production at the facility. This is a ceremonious thing that Tesla conducts internally for the first model that rolls out of the line.

With that said, the Giga Berlin, Shanghai, Texas, and Fremont factories are now producing this EV simultaneously.

Earlier this month Tesla released a new Model Y in Asia. The company has listed this model under the Launch Series tag, a limited edition with an increased price and a few special design references to celebrate the start of the production.

The new Model Y brings a completely redesigned front, featuring a new lightbar in place of the headlights, which are now shifted below on the bumper area. The frunk area is slim and creates an aerodynamic-friendly fascia.

It has second-generation suspension and noise-reduction hardware alongside tweaked wheels for a quiet and smoother driving experience.

The vehicle has a new front-facing camera to increase on-road visibility. Coming to the back of the car, it features a new cross-car lamp including an indirect reflective body panel taillight. This is a new feature for Model Y and the entire Tesla fleet.

Its appearance changes due to the amount of light reflected and diffuses internally in daylight and low-light environments, especially at night.

Inside the car, you will see new ambient lighting wrapped around the deck to the passenger side. The car has heated and ventilated seats, power recline, and soft-touch textiles for extra comfort.

The second-row passengers now have an 8-inch display to explore vehicle settings separately or play games together.

After the start of production, Tesla will queue all of the pre-orders and start delivering the new Model Y in March onwards.
