SpaceX launches 22 Starlink satellites with a new Falcon 9 mission

On February 1, 2025, SpaceX launched the 13th Falcon 9 rocket of this year with 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

The launch was conducted at 3:02 p.m. PT when Falcon 9’s nine Merlin engines started at full power. After hot-staging, the first stage boostback and returned to Earth.

While maintaining its landing trajectory, the booster started the final burn, followed by landing legs deployment before the touchdown on a droneship.

With this mission, the booster completed its 17th flight, which previously supported SDA-0A, SARah-2, Transporter-11, and 14 Starlink launches including the latest.

Note – This was the 13th dedicated SpaceX Falcon 9 mission of 2025.
