Tesla is working on a Model X and S refresh, these two luxury vehicles may have some news later this year, indicates Lars Moravy, VP of Vehicle Engineering.

Speaking at Ride the Lightning podcast, Lars revealed that the company plans to upgrade both of these EVs and it might happen in 2025.

“We’ll give it some love later this year. Everyone here has a little place in their heart for S/X. They are not going anywhere anytime soon.” said Lars.

However, the top Tesla official has not revealed any specific details about the Model S or X refresh on the podcast.

Model X and S share the same platform and most of their components are also shared. The key difference lies in their sizes and design.

The Model X is a larger crossover and features Falcon wing doors. It is ideal for families with extra space requirements. On the other hand, the Model S is built for performance and sporty aesthetics.

Despite their difference, the company offers high-performance variants and configurations.

Refresh

Model S/X brings high-performance aspects including wheels, a powerful drive unit, and better aesthetics. However, a refresh could make these two luxury EVs look even better.

Meanwhile, Tesla has already upgraded the existing Model 3 last year with a new sleek front and headlights. The new Model Y is also gaining momentum among customers with its 2025 model featuring a new lightbar and better interior updates.

The Model 3 and Model Y stand apart from each other and provide a whole new choice for customers.

Tesla has made some major changes in Model X by increasing $5,000 on both of its models, the plaid version now costs $99,990.

The company mainly produces these two models in the US and imports them to overseas markets.

Tesla is currently running a lifetime Supercharging offer for Model S and X customers and you can also claim $1,000 off with a referral link.
