Tesla Model Y saved a family from a fatal collision

Tesla Model Y has saved a family of three after a fatal collision from another vehicle approaching from the front, the owner shared this story and described the entire scenario.
“Wanted to share this unfortunate experience that happened to my family. Basically, a car going the opposite direction hit us while we were going at the speed limit (45mph). Our car spun 180 and all airbags were deployed. Despite how hard we go it (even my glasses broke), everything behind the windshield was still fully functional and my family (2-year-old, my wife, and I) walked away from this with bruises only. My whole family could have ended here, but it was a combination of engineering and luck that saved us,” wrote the owner on Reddit.
The image shared there revealed a completely destroyed front and shows us the magnitude of the collision. The user even uploaded the video with things unfolding in real time.
Model 3 and Model Y are developed on the same platform and shared architecture. To provide higher mass and larger cabin space, the Model Y has a fortified body structure over the Model 3 for maximum safety.
In the event of collision, the Model Y structure distributes crash forces around the cabin and away from the occupants. That’s how there are lower chances for drivers and passengers to sustain major injuries.
The Model Y has optimized front and rear crumple zones and side structures to enable the vehicle to manage crash energy, reduces acceleration on the vehicle and to the occupants.
The Model Y has the largest casting with a fortified battery pack for occupant protection after collision. With its safety performance, NHTSA has tagged the Model Y with a 5-star overall safety rating.
