Breaking: Tesla launches non-Launch Series Model Y in the US
Tesla has finally launched non-Launch Series Model Y in the US, and it begins the reign of affordable variant for American buyers at $48,990.
In Late January, Tesla introduced a limited edition Model Y as Launch Series, it comes with some special badging and configuration to cover a price of $59,990. The company simultaneously started production of this new vehicle at Giga Texas and Fremont Factory to meet up the demand.
The new Model Y comes with a refreshed front including a facelift and a front lightbar as well as a front camera. It has a cross-car reflective light on the rear side. The interior has comfortable seats including heating and ventilation as well as ambient lighting and the rear side has powered seats with one tap reclining and inclining.
The company has now introduced a Long Range All Wheel Drive (AWD) and removed non-Launch Series. It is priced at $48,990, and eligible for $7,500 Federal Tax Credit, leading the price down to $41,490. You can also add a price discount via referral link.
The model included six color options, but only Stealth Grey is included in the purchase package. The 19-inch cross flow wheel is part of the purchase package, and 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels at $2,000.
It has two interiors, but the white one will cost $1,000 addition with a five seat interior.
