xAI rolling out memory feature for Grok AI

xAI has released a memory feature for Grok AI that will enable users to continue conversation with context taken from your related chats from the past to provide a better user experience.

With memorized conversations, Grok AI can detect any familiar conversation in the history and give you a personalized answer when you ask for recommendations or advice.

Prior to this release, Grok didn’t have any such capability to remember the chat, but it’s good to see that the company is adding useful perks. Grok has a reference feature that allows you to remove data from its memory with the Forgot option beneath the message.

Grok’s memory feature is now available in beta on Grok.com and the standalone iOS and Android apps, except for EU and UK. This feature is coming soon to Grok on X. It is enabled by default, but you can put your preference in check from.

“Allow Grok to remember details from your previous conversations. You can delete individual conversations to forget the associated details. Temporary chats are never stored.” Reads the option. Grok is available for free with limitations and increased rates for premium users.
