xAI Grok Task Feature

Generative AI company xAI is now working on a powerful automated task execution feature for Grok users, and it will make this chatbot more interactive.

Shared by @nima_owji, the new feature will let you schedule a task to start it automatically and get reminders when they completed. For example, you can ask Grok to suggest 3 actionable productivity tips for the day and schedule them daily at a specific time. Similarly, you can ask Grok to send you weekly news digest with a prompt such as “Provide a concise summary of the top 5 global news stories about AI”.

This feature has a dedicated user interface, and you will see active and completed tasks. From here, you can add a new task with the following fields:

  1. Schedule – Once, Daily, Weekdays, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly
  2. Time and day
  3. Prompt – To enter the automation prompt

The task feature is under development, and it will soon arrive for Grok users. The xAI team has been working on these new additions to improve the user experience for the chatbot.

Recently, the company has released a chart generation feature to visualize the user data on a specific topic in creative styles. Capabilities such as aspect ratio image generation, as well as drawing a sketch, are also available on the platform.

The AI company also has a pending Grok 3.5 version release, which will improve the performance and response speed. This new model will have powerful reasoning over Grok 3 with more contextual awareness.
