xAI launches Grok 4 API
AI company, xAI has introduced Grok 4 API, enabling developers use its latest model from day one and here’s what you should know.
The latest API supports text modality with vision, image generation, and more of its capabilities like coding and video generation will come later. It has features including fiction calling, structured output and reasoning.
That said, the API will offer a 256,000 context window, which is almost double that of the Grok 3 family at 131,072. It has 16,000 tpm and 60rpm limits, while Grok 3 had 600rpm. The price is identical to Grok 3; it charge $3 per million input and $15 per million output tokens.
Developers can check Grok 4 API models in the Models area of the xAI console.
