Tesla has officially announced that its Robotaxi service area in Austin expansion. The updated geofenced area will appear in the exclusive app with a new version upgrade.

Users who have access to the Robotaxi app will see this new update in the TestFlight app with version 25.7.5. The geofenced map now combines the existing and the new area, which looks a little interesting.

Last week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed this expansion for the weekend, and it’s finally here, allowing users to get a larger area to ride. He also assumed that the regulatory approval for autonomous taxis in California would be issued within the third quarter.

In late May, Tesla introduced Robotaxi in Austin for limited users via an invitation process. The company provided these users with an exclusive app, which can book a ride, show vehicle’s arrival information and more.

Following the initial user feedback, Tesla pushed a new improvement for pickup location adjustment. With that, users can adjust the pickup location from pre-determined pinpoints instead of an automatic selection by the app service.
