Troy Jones, a veteran with 15 years at Tesla, leaving the EV maker
Troy Jones has been one of the key people who have seen Tesla become an EV giant, and after 15 years, he is now leaving the company, according to a report from WSJ.
The report comes as Tesla is expecting to rebound its sales in the coming quarter, while past quarter’s performance has not been so great due to various reasons. Also, Musk has returned as a full-time CEO at the company, and may have been restructuring things around, including pushing new talent on important job roles.
Troy Jones joined Tesla in April 2010. Prior to leaving the job, he was serving as the Vice President of North America Sales and Service and overseeing the service and delivery operations across the region, which is also Tesla’s largest market.

Prior to him, Drew Baglino, chief battery engineer and global public policy head Rohan Patel also exited the company. Tesla’s Optimus Robot project head, Milan Kovac, announced the end of his tenure in June.
