Tesla expands extended service agreement to used vehicles
Tesla is now offering the extended service agreement (ESA) on all used vehicles, allowing you to get additional coverage after the used vehicle warranty expires.
The ESA subscription includes coverage for repair and replacement to fix mechanical damage or features required to operate the vehicle. It also covers Tesla’s roadside assistance for immediate roadside services at any time of the day throughout the year.
ESA subscription is available for Model 3, Y, S, and X, while Cybertruck could join this club in the near future. The monthly ESA fee may vary for each model as follows

Tesla expands extended service agreement for used vehicles
- Model 3 costs $50 monthly
- Model Y costs $60 per month
- Model S costs $125 per month
- Model X costs $150 per month
Four of these models are eligible for $100 deductible per visit.
Users who want to subscribe to the ESA can do it with the Tesla mobile app. Launch the app and go to Upgrades > Service Plans > Extended Service Agreement. Read the terms and conditions as well as the fees and tap on Subscribe. Review the payment and finalize your decision. To be mentioned, this expansion is only available for customers in the US.
