Perplexity launches AI email assistant to help you manage emails

Perplexity has launched AI powered email assistant that makes email management easier than ever. Initially, the service is available for Gmail and Outlook for all Perplexity Max subscribers. Through this integration, Perplexity Assistant connects to your email account across your phone and computer.

The new assistant auto-labels your inbox. For example, it will show a tag on the email in the list that needs a reply, so you don’t have to open the emails or read more about them, saving time and effort. The AI assistant’s deep integration enables Perplexity to draft replies automatically, which reflects your tone and style.

This email assistant can schedule meetings. For example, when someone mails you to ask for a 30-minute meeting, the assistant will jump through your available dates and pick a day and time for potential meeting schedules. Users can ask Perplexity for summaries of meetings, key emails, and daily priorities on their screens.

These features are quite interesting, but the feature is limited to Perplexity Max, which costs $200 a month compared to $20 for the Pro plan. This new feature is available at perplexity.ai/assistant. Here you can connect Gmail and Outlook with one click and check the required data access permissions. The feature may soon slip out of this limited restriction and make its way to Pro users.
