SpaceX has integrated Grok AI chatbot into the Starlink support system, providing users with assistance with generative AI for quick answers. X user Sawyer Merritt has shared this information on the social media site, showing a recent customer support screenshot mentioning “Powered by Grok”, which is a sign of an open source model.

According to the information, Starlink is using Grok for customer support, handling inquiries, and troubleshooting problems.

The open source Grok models are available to use by anyone under the Apache-2.0 license. And since Musk owns SpaceX, he is definitely expanding Grok’s use cases around all of his companies for a vast access to AI in services.

This deployment also coincides with global internet access challenges, with Starlink’s 6,000+ satellites and millions of users to bridge connectivity gaps, potentially amplified by Grok’s multilingual support.
