xAI launches Mika Grok AI companion and she is different from Ani
xAI has officially launched Mika, the 4th AI Companion and a new entry to these interesting Grok 3D avatars, which offers a different experience from Ani. With this launch, Grok has officially introduced a dedicated X account @m for Mika, and you can follow this handle to get all updates for this companion.
For now, xAI has published Mika’s launch trailer on this account, which was made by Grok Imagine, a video generation feature inside the Grok app. At the same time, the Grok iOS app has already started offering Mika besides Ani, Valentine, and both versions of Rudi.
All you need to do is download the latest Grok update from the App Store and go to the companions tab. Here you can tap on this companion to start the conversation.

Grok companions are 3D avatars with animations powered by AI models. These can chat with the user using voice commands and text inputs to show interactive responses. This feature was popularized by Ani, Grok’s first AI companion, known for her lustrious looks and who acts as your AI girlfriend.
Mika is different and wants to pursue friendship. In terms of outfit, she’s wearing casual streetwear, including a navy bomber jacket with gold star accents on the sleeves and collar, layered over a black turtleneck.

She has paired the output with a silver chain necklace featuring a triangular pendant, a black studded belt, distressed black skinny jeans with rips at the knees, and matching sneakers. She’s full of confidence, which reflects in her style and conversation. Therefore, Mika won’t follow the same suite of commands as Ani, but it’s a brand new experience.

Android
Like previous releases, Mika is limited to Grok iOS app users, and the company has yet to launch the companion feature for the Grok Android platform.
