168 stalls, largest Tesla Supercharger in Lost Hills, California

Tesla is planning a major Supercharger expansion in Firebaugh, creating the world’s largest Supercharger station. This new site will have a total of 304 charging stalls, making it a key spot for electric vehicle (EV) drivers and Semi truck owners. The project builds on an existing location and confirms Tesla’s focus on growing its charging network to meet rising demand.

Currently, the largest Tesla Supercharger is the Oasis site in Lost Hills, California; all stalls became fully operational in November 2025, with a count of 164 stalls.

That station is notable for being off-grid, powered by solar panels and battery storage. It covers a large area and includes features like pull-through stalls for trailers. The Oasis has been praised for its clean energy setup, generating power from 11 megawatts of solar and storing it in 10 Megapacks.

It serves as a big stop along Interstate 5, helping drivers on long trips between northern and southern California. The Firebaugh expansion will top that by a wide margin, adding 85% more stalls than the current record holder.

Located just off Interstate 5 at West Panoche Road, the site already has 56 V3 Superchargers in operation. The EV maker recently received approval for a conditional use permit to add 232 more stalls for cars on nearby farmland. Plus, there will be 16 special stalls for Tesla Semi trucks, bringing the total to 304.

So, this Supercharger station will be a mix of chargers for regular EVs and heavy-duty trucks. Plans include a 4,000-square-foot building, outdoor seating areas, solar canopies to provide shade and power, and bio-retention basins to handle water runoff.

These features aim to make the stop more comfortable for users while keeping the environmental impact low in this rural farming area. On the other side, Firebaugh’s location on a busy trucking route makes it ideal for supporting both everyday drivers and fleet operators as EV use grows.

Tesla’s network already has thousands of stations worldwide, but big sites like this help ease worries about long waits or range limits. By expanding in key spots like this, Tesla is preparing for more EVs on the road, including its own Semi trucks.

The company hasn’t shared an exact timeline for completion, but the permit approval last month suggests work could start soon. Overall, the Firebaugh Supercharger represents a step up in scale and design.
