Drivers gain strong performance from this rear-wheel drive setup. The vehicle accelerates from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds and supports fast charging that adds up to 173 miles in 15 minutes via Tesla Superchargers. This trim targets buyers seeking extended range without all-wheel drive, providing a cost-effective entry into longer-distance electric driving.

Tesla expands the refreshed Model Y lineup with this addition. Available variants include:

  • Rear-Wheel Drive (Standard Range) — Delivers 314 miles of WLTP range for entry-level access.
  • Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive — Achieves 383 miles of range with rear-wheel drive efficiency.
  • Long Range All-Wheel Drive — Offers 372 miles of range and enhanced traction, accelerating to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
  • Performance — Provides 360 miles of range, a 3.3-second 0-60 mph time, and a 155 mph top speed.

The Model Y maintains strong demand in the UK electric SUV segment. Tesla supports it through an extensive Supercharger network and regular over-the-air software updates. The refreshed design incorporates improved ride comfort, quieter cabins with acoustic glass, and upgraded interiors.
