Perplexity announces Comet for iOS users
Today, Perplexity has officially opened pre-orders for its Comet app on the iOS platform. This AI personal assistant will enable an iPhone browser to become a reliable thinking partner. Interesting users can sign up through the App Store before the full release on March 11.
Comet works as a unified browser, pulling instant context from any site you visit, and automates everyday tasks. You can summarize articles, compare products while shopping, set schedules, or run quick research without switching between tabs. The app learns user patterns, organizes open tabs, tracks new ideas, and works in the background.
Perplexity first introduced Comet for Mac and Windows, followed by its arrival on Android. Now iOS is about to join the lineup with native support for iPhone and Apple Vision devices running iOS 18 or higher.
Pre-orders are now live, giving early users a head start as mobile AI tools expand.

Author’s take
Comet provides practical AI help that could suit iPhone users while browsing the internet. However, everyone is not accustomed to such an AI tool, and starters may need some time to explore its capabilities. For that, users can dive into the Mac, Windows or Android app to know more about its environment.
