New Tesla Model Y Performance prototype spotted testing for the first time

It’s been four months since the new Model Y was first released, and it appears that Tesla has also started testing its Performance variant, as spotted in the latest spy shots.
Earlier this year, Tesla refreshed its best-selling EV, Model Y, with a new design. The front now has a facelift and a light bar that extends through the sides. The headlamps are shifted a few inches below the light bar near the air ducts. The front looks more toward the road for better aerodynamics.
The car also has new internal upgrades for seats, cooling, a separate screen for the second row, and more. The rear side also has a new cross-car lamp that reflects the brake light.
Carscoops has spotted a new Model Y in Nürburgring, the vehicle was camouflaged, which is usual practice to hide their unreleased design. Even from above, the car is not looking much of the different from RWD and Long-Range variants. However, we will have some things to explore.

It’s noted that the vehicle has updated elongated spoilers on the trunk lid, which follow the previous Model Y performance. The side profile reveals new wheels that could measure at 21 inches, as well as new rims that are relatively similar to the Arachnid rims found on the Model S Plaid.

Another thing to note is that the rear tires are wider than the front, and the red calipers are featured, on the front, showing the performance braking system.
The vehicle sits lower than RWD and Long-Range models. This specification is related to its performance-filled ride, and staying grounded is essential to support controlled maneuvers.

The new Tesla Model Y Performance is expected to use the dual-motor all-wheel-drive system from the Model 3 Performance, providing 510 horsepower and 554 lb-ft peak torque, and the battery pack capacity could be 79 kWh.
The camouflaged Model Y may be just a beginning, and the design might get tweaked before the launch. However, Tesla has not officially revealed anything about this performance for the moment.
