168 stalls, largest Tesla Supercharger in Lost Hills, California

Tesla has officially opened its largest Superchargers in Lost Hills, California. The company announced this construction in October last year, and it’s now ready to provide charging services for Tesla users.

The site has 168 stalls, powered by 11MW solar and 10 Tesla Megapacks. The total construction took 8 months, and initially, Tesla operated 84 stalls, which were solely run by solar power and operated off-grid. The rest of the stalls and the lounge will be coming later in 2025.

“Solar + Storage will be the majority of meeting growing energy needs. The sun is a reliable giant fusion reactor, and we just need to catch a minuscule amount of it. The largest Supercharger in the world will be powered by the sun.” Max De Zegher, chief of Tesla’s Supercharger division, wrote on his X account.

He also shared some visuals of the site while revealing the project’s progress from the planning, which started 2 years ago.

“It was clear that there would be a significant shortage of charging capacity for this corridor, that the 20MW+ utility upgrades would not arrive in time, and that nobody was doing anything about it,” He added.

This new supercharger site is located at 22422 Highway 46, Lost Hills, California. These 84 Superchargers output a max of 325 kW and open throughout the week from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The base charging fee for all EVs is $0.62/kWh.
