Grok for Tesla

Tesla has officially announced that Grok is coming for its vehicles in 2025.26 software update and also shared a first look at the AI assistant in action.

A short video published on X shows the user conversation with the voice mode. The user asked a question about Optimus and then, the voice assistant replied with the selected voice tone and personas.

The on-screen user interface comes with options including microphone button to speak with the AI, change voice and select conversation tone. The settings icon allow users to tweak settings such as NSFW mode and more. The interface appears at the bottom above the task bar and the audio voice visualization is pretty good.

Grok for Tesla vehicle requires you to sign in xAI account. Users can sign in using the on-screen QR code, which will appear as soon as they launch the Grok application. Once scanned, you can authorize the account access through your mobile.

Grok will be available for all supported vehicles with this new update and requires Premium Connectivity or a Wi-Fi connection. It is currently in beta mode and available only for US users with an AMD system, while a confirmation on Intel is pending.

Beta means, you cannot control the car’s feature with Grok and those actions will still be limited to voice commands.
