Today is the last day to buy an electric vehicle and claim $7,500 Federal tax credit; afterwards, these vehicles will get pricer than before. This new change comes after the US government decided to cut the clean vehicle tax credit, which supports such purchases with federal incentives for low-income households on qualifying models. Customers are now required to order a new EV on or before September 30, 2025, to become eligible for the credit.

Since this announcement, EV leader Tesla has started reminding customers of the last date for the Federal tax credit. It is showing a countdown timer on the website for enlisted models. As mentioned above, you can secure an order today, become eligible for a tax credit, and take delivery later. To order a new vehicle, you can choose the configurator with cash or finance purchases.

Tesla is running some offers to allure customers with some special offers, including 2.99% APR financing and 3.99% on Model Y. Additionally, the entry-level Cybertruck is also eligible for a tax credit with 0% APR offer when you purchase an FSD package and free one year of free supercharging.

After this date, users won’t get this massive price relief on electric vehicles; instead, they have to buy at the original prices. Various EV makers have already opposed this decision, but it’s sealed already, and the prices for all EVs will start to rise starting tomorrow.

People wanting to buy a new EV should get on board and place an order for the eligible model before the time runs out.
