SpaceX launches $50/month low-cost Starlink residential plan
Starlink, the satellite internet service from SpaceX, recently announced new options for its Residential plans in the U.S. The update brings back a low-cost Starlink residential plan and organizes the service into three clear tiers to match different user needs.
The most affordable plan is now called Residential 100 Mbps. It starts at $50 per month and offers unlimited data with download speeds up to 100 Mbps.
This plan is suitable for activities such as browsing the web, streaming videos, online classes, and basic work from home. It returned after a short break, though the price rose from an earlier $40 rate.
The middle option is Residential 200 Mbps, priced at $80 per month. It provides unlimited data and faster speeds up to 200 Mbps. This tier works well for households with multiple devices, higher-quality video streaming, online gaming, or heavier internet use.
It was previously known as Residential Lite, with a small adjustment in the listed top speed. The top tier, Residential Max, costs $120 per month. It delivers the highest performance with unlimited data and the best speeds.
This plan also includes extra benefits, such as a free Router Mini for better Wi-Fi coverage in larger homes, a free rental of the portable Starlink Mini dish for travel, and a 50% discount on Roam plans for on-the-go use. It serves users who need fast connections for demanding tasks.

Starlink utilizes satellites to deliver internet to areas where traditional cable or fiber services are unavailable, such as rural or remote locations.
Along with the Residential updates, Starlink doubled the high-speed data on its basic Roam plan to 100 GB per month while keeping the same $50 price. This helps users who need internet while traveling or in different locations.
Availability depends on the area, and interested users should check the Starlink website by entering their address. The company also provides a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on new setups, allowing returns for a full refund if the service does not meet expectations.
