Tesla FSD

Lemonade, a U.S. insurance company, has launched its Autonomous Car Insurance product for Tesla vehicles with Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology in Arizona, as the first state in the U.S.

The program provides a 50% discount on insurance rates for every mile driven with FSD (Supervised) enabled. This reflects data showing Tesla FSD is twice as safe compared to human driving. Drivers pay less overall when they use FSD more frequently. As FSD software improves over time, insurance prices are expected to decrease further.

Official details come from Lemonade’s dedicated page at lemonade.com/fsd, which describes the insurance as super fast, seamless, and designed to deliver lower costs while promoting safer roads. By connecting a Tesla vehicle directly to the Lemonade policy, the system tracks FSD miles without extra hardware.

The launch was highlighted by Lemonade Co-Founder and President Shai Wininger. He confirmed the Arizona rollout and reminded users of the 50% reduction on FSD-driven miles. The link tesla.lemonade.com/fsd allows interested Tesla owners to check eligibility and prices.

The discount applies specifically to FSD (Supervised) usage. On the other hand, expansion to additional states is planned for the coming weeks and months.

This approach uses real-world Tesla telemetry to adjust premiums based on actual safety performance. It marks an early step in how insurers recognize advanced driver assistance systems. No special endorsements are required, and the policy focuses on per-mile pricing for FSD portions.

The product encourages wider adoption of FSD by tying economic benefits to its use. It positions insurance as a validator of autonomous driving progress, based on fleet data rather than assumptions.
