Tesla Cybertruck Prototypes for China

Tesla will organize a national tour to take Cybertruck to China and a recent revelation shows that the prototypes of this electric pick-up truck have now landed in the country.

A car enthusiast @thinkercar from social media X  shared an image of Tesla Cybertrucks transported to China.

The latest image follows an announcement of a national Cybertruck tour in China and Tesla is taking registrations for people who want to participate in the tour.

These registrations, which will close on March 31, will help the company select a city to launch this new Tesla vehicle. For now, there’s no specific date for this event to take place but it may showcase the new prototypes at Tesla showrooms and public galleries.

Last Week, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk mentioned that getting Cybertruck legal on Chinese roads would be “very difficult”. However, he said that Tesla would “ship some prototypes over for display”.

Tesla showcased the first version of Cybertruck in 2019, this unconventional pick-up truck carrying large plates of stainless steel. Its unique aesthetic and material may become a barrier to getting this large EV cleared through Chinese vehicles and public safety regulators.

Following three years of delay, Tesla finally delivered its first batch of Cybertrucks in December last year. Since then the company kept on increasing its showcase across all states in the U.S.
