Tesla Model Y upgrades with HW 4.0 automatic driving features in China

Tesla today announced an upgraded Model Y in China with hardware (HW) 4.0 automatic driving assisted driving hardware.

Following this announcement, the Tesla Model Y will bring 5x increased chip computing and a maximum distance detection of up to 424 meters. The HW 4.0 also promises increased security and vehicle safety.

It brings automatically assisted aviation, automatically assisted steering, automatic emergency braking, side collision warning, forward collision warning, automatic high beam, and more safety functions.

Tesla also removed the original Chinese Red and Cold silver car paints from the options and added Quick Silver, Flame Red, and Starry Sky Gray car paints. There’s also a new limited-time cash discount of 8000 yuan on this vehicle.

Furthermore, orders that are placed before February 29 and any Model Y/ Model 3 delivered before March 31 are eligible for 2,000 for all of the paid paint options.
