Apple today announced the iOS 17.3 software update for iPhones and it will rollout next week for users with added new features.

The latest information appeared alongside the launch of the 2024 Black Unity Sport Band features as well as a new wallpaper for iPhone and iPad devices.

“The new Unity Bloom iPhone and iPad wallpaper for the Lock Screen will also be available next week, and requires iPhone Xs or later running iOS 17.3 and iPad (6th generation and later)” wrote Apple in a press release.

The new rollout includes one of the newest additions to iPhone and iPad devices Stolen Device Protection. It helps to keep the key credential safe if the device is stolen or accessed at an unauthorized location.

iOS 17.3 Next Week

If so, the user may not be able to change the face ID or lock screen password without verifying the phone with the Face ID of an original user.

The phone will require mandatory face ID verification of the user existing user to make any major changes in device login credentials or bank information. There will be no fallback enabled for such cases if the user fails to verify an existing face ID.

Another new feature of the iOS 17.3 would be a collection playlist option for Apple Music. This will allow multiple people to add, rearrange, and remove songs in a shared playlist.

Apple is currently testing iOS 17.3 under the beta channel and already launched three beta builds.
