Electric Mercedes-Benz eSprinter van opens for orders in the U.S.

Mercedes-Benz today announced that its new electric van eSprinter is available to order in the U.S. It will be available as a 170-inch wheelbase cargo van with a 113-kilowatt hour (kWh) battery.

The battery could provide 273 miles of WLTP range and it could expand up to 329 miles in the city. The van supports both AC and DC charging and the onboard charger has a maximum charging power of 9.5 kilowatts.

To provide a fast charging experience, eSprinter can ramp up the speed at 115 kilowatts refilling capacity from 10-80 percent within 40 minutes.

The van has a “Mercedes Me Charge” feature which allows the customer to know the availability and estimated cost of charging stations on the route. You can also start a charging station remotely, pay for a charging session, or track charging and payment history.

Mercedes has partnered with ChargePoint, Electrify America, and EVgo into a single network to provide this payment service.

There’s an efficient and advanced electric rear axle. The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) weighs 285 lbs for efficiency and thermal management.

The motor options are available in 100 and 150 kilowatt peak output and it can boost maximum torque of 295 lb.-ft for at least 30 seconds.

The vehicle supports voice control and active brake assist for a safe and functional driving experience. It also has a blind spot assistant and attention assist.

This van equips changes made to the 2024 eSprinter from inside and the interior reflects those in the entire cabin.

Mercedes-Benz eSprinter is available for orders at U.S. dealerships starting from $71,866. While a High output version has an MSRP of $75,316.

Customers can lease the 2024 eSprinter cargo van with a 150 kW motor for a monthly lease payment of $998 for 36 months with $6,486 due at lease signing.
