InstaVolt, UK’s public electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has installed two new charging stations at McDonald’s, on Earle Street, in Earlstown, Merseyside, England. It is the first InstaVolt EV charging site in the Newton-le-Willows area.

The site has one fully accessible bay with 1.2m of additional pace on either side. The charger equips lower screens and an improved cable management system for easy access.

InstaVolt operates 1,300 chargers across the UK and plans to increase them to 10,000 by 2030. To improve EV demand, the government is installing new EV chargers and related infrastructures.

“We’re delighted to bring our award-winning rapid chargers to Newton-le-Willows, with class-leading reliability of more than 99.9 percent and installations of two or more chargers at many sites. EV drivers can be confident that when they arrive, they’ll find an easy-to-use charger, with on-site driver amenities, without having to queue.” said Adrian Keen, CEO of InstaVolt.

Users can use route planning in advance search engines or a dedicated App such as ZapMap or InstaVolt’s app for charging points. These charging points are supported by coffee shops and other commodities via on-site partners.

InstaVolt reveals that these chargers are using 100 percent renewable energy and support contactless payment with no sign-up or subscription required.

However, drivers have the option to visit the website or sign up for the optional InstaVolt app to find the nearest charging station, search for real-time availability across its sites, and pay for their charger use.
