Tesla has recently released a new software update 2024.8 for European users and it installs two new dedicated menu options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. While the update also refreshes the turn signal.

Wi-Fi:

The option is now available to access the settings and allows the users to check their known network connection + LAN address. The menu will improve visibility and allow them to add, forget, or block any network connection for the car.

Getting Wi-Fi settings in a separate space is a win-win for the users.

Bluetooth:

The company has brought a separate Bluetooth management menu that will allow them to review paired devices. Tesla cars not only connect Bluetooth smartphones but they also support wireless controllers to play games on their display. So, this addition will help to organize all of the connected devices.

The menu will keep on searching for nearby Bluetooth devices to pair a new one instantly. However, you should know that the Bluetooth of the connected device must be enabled to pair with the Tesla car, just a side note.

The Bluetooth menu also differentiates between smartphones and gaming controllers. Unlike the Wi-Fi menu, this doesn’t have a toggle on the top right corner.

Turn Signal

The EV company has improved the in-drive user interface with a refreshed turn signal. It now has a simple directional arrow with increased size and green color.

That could be compared to a small direction arrow inside a circle background shape. There’s a now clear difference between these two.

Europe:

Tesla has released the 2024.8 software update for European users and it brings adaptive headlights feature to allow an improved driving experience at night time. There are also interesting addition that comes with this new firmware.

The car company meanwhile is keeping this software release limited to the European market and it’s yet to arrive for Tesla owners in North America.
