Apple and Baidu AI cooperation yet to be confirmed: Chinese media

Reports of Apple talking to AI companies including China’s Baidu have appeared recently but Chinese media has denied cooperation between the two firms.

Chinadaily reports that an agreement between Apple and Baidu has not been signed about AI citing people familiar with this matter.

Previous report reveals that Baidu will provide AI technology support for the iPhone 16 series launching later this year.

Apple is planning some major upgrades in AI for its smart devices and the iPhone will highlight the new AI features later this year.

Meanwhile, the company is also talking to Google and OpenAI to bring their AI capabilities with iOS 18 at WWDC 2024. But none of these news and rumors are announced officially at the moment.
