NHTSA investigating complaints about Fisker Ocean’s door failure

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened a probe on Fisker Ocean’s door functionality failure. This move follows user complaints which mention that the car’s door failed to open.

NHTSA has received 14 complaints letter about this malfunction alleging that an intermittent failure of the latch and handle prevented the opening of the driver, front passenger, or rear doors.

Some of these complaints allege the emergency override system also failed to open the door.

The probe comes amid Fisker is facing a big havoc in its financial system and running out of cash to carry out future operations.

The company has recently made a panic move by cutting the price of the Fisker Ocean EV by almost half in the U.S.

Fisker is also talking to big automakers for a potential investment but It has failed to finalize any of these talks.
