iPhone 16 Plus to bring 7 color variants including two new additions

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are the most colorful and vibrant iPhone models but iPhone 16 and 16 Plus may surpass their predecessor with more color variants.

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are available in five colors – Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black. A tipster from the Chinese social media site Weibo says that this year’s iPhone 16 Plus model will bring 7 new color variants.

These new iPhone 16 Plus colors could be white, black, blue, green pink, purple, and yellow. So, white and purple would be the additions if this rumor goes right.

iPhone 16 currently starts at $799 and the iPhone 16 Plus adds $100 more to the base variant, starting at $899. There are three storage options available for both models including 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB.

Last year, Apple made some changes to the iPhone 15 base and Pro models. The company used traditional aluminum frames in the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. It introduced brand new titanium material for 15 Pro and Pro Max.

Titanium brings stability and a lightweight body compared to aluminum. However, Apple has not announced plans to upgrade the base lineup with this material.

iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max on the other hand have four colors grey, blue, white, and black. These are influenced by the titanium finishing.

A report about the Pro models suggests that the company is working on polishing the titanium material. The difference in the new iPhones could appear in finishing with a glossy finish than iPhone 15 Pro duo.

Furthermore, iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to debut two new colors – Space Black and Rose (Pink). Providing more color variants could bring more value to new iPhones as the company wants to revitalize its sales.

The iPhone 16 series will be unveiled in second half of this year but the company is yet to share an official launch date.
