2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance

On April 23, Tesla launched its new Performance Model 3 variant, which aims for superior performance over the other two trims. However, the company has made new adjustments in its price point and given this Tesla Model 3 Performance its first $1,000 hike.

The new Model 3 Performance brings several new upgrades compared to the previous version. The front fascia has been improved with an optimized slope with the front lip to support air deflection at high speed.

This model has a new adaptive damping system for better ground force and improved control. The EV uses forged performance wheels for sharp turn-in response and better traction in corner exits.

The braking system has been improved with large brake rotors, calipers, and performance brake pads. To boost performance, the Model 3 brings new springs, dampers, bushings, and stabilizer bars.

The car will offer new sports seats with driver stability and enhanced comfort with features including heating and ventilation.

The rear side of the car also supports better aerodynamics including the carbon fiber spoiler which received enhancements to help reduce drag and improve lift balance at high speed.

Price Change

Telsa Model 3 Performance was announced at $52,990. Compared to RWD and Long Range models, the Performance variant is eligible for the full $7,500 Federal Tax Credit. After credits, the purchase price changes to $45,490.

The new price hike reflects an addition of $1,000 to the purchase price, taking it to $53,990. In that case, the price after tax credit will decline to $46,490.

Tesla has not announced the reason behind this upgrade or it may be due to huge initial customer demand. Amid the price increase, Tesla has also reduced the price of the white interior and black exterior paint by $500.
