Starship Test Flight 4 could liftoff on June 1 suggesting an order from the Cameron County Judge for the temporary closure of Boca Chia Beach and State Highway 4.

“Eddie Trevino, Jr., has ordered the temporary closure of access to Boca Chica Beach as well as state Highway 4 from FM 1419 (Oklahoma Ave.) to the entrance of Boca Chica Beach due to anticipated testing for SpaceX.” confirms the order.

Notice that the order mentions “testing” and Starship is the only space vehicle SpaceX has in the test pipeline. Also, Boca Chica is the home to Starbase, where SpaceX builds and tests this launch vehicle. It means that this closure is related the Starship Flight 4.

The letter also mentions the anticipated test dates for this flight. That includes June 1, 2024, between 12:00 a.m. CST to 2:00 p.m. CST. Alternative test opportunity is available on June 2 and Juen 3 from 12:00 a.m. CST to 2:00 p.m. CST. However, the dates may change accordingly but it may not delay too much if this happens.

SpaceX and local authorities will work together to ensure no trespassing of vehicles or individuals during this temporary closure of the area.

The company has already test-fired Super Heavy booster and first-stage Starship spacecraft for this test flight. This integrated vehicle is expected to fly in two weeks, which matches the above-mentioned launch opportunities.

However, SpaceX will need to wait until the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gives it a go for the fourth Starship test. It is assumed that the agency is near to completing the third flight mishap investigation and could announce the flight license modification soon.
