Tesla is running over 7 million vehicles around the globe in 2024

Tesla has officially announced that it has more than 7 million vehicles running on roads around the globe as of December 2024. The company achieved this milestone in the wake of growing sales of its top models.
In October, the EV maker produced its 7 millionth vehicle at the Fremont factory. In Q3 alone, Tesla produced 469,796 vehicles and delivered 462,890 units. This figure includes its best sellers Model 3/Y as well as Cybertruck.
“It is notable that Tesla is profitable despite a very challenging automotive environment, and this quarter actually is a record Q3 for us. So, we produced our seventh millionth vehicle actually just yesterday, so congratulations to the teams that made it happen in Tesla. That’s staggering the immense amount of work to make 7 million cars” said Musk during a Q3 earning call.
That said, the company has exceeded this milestone with even more produced vehicles in late Q4.
“All the vehicles that we’ve really made, almost 7 million vehicles, that vast majority are capable of autonomy. And we’re currently making on the order of 35,000 autonomous vehicles a week,” Musk previously mentioned Tesla’s autonomous car production.
