DeepSeek R1 is now available for Perplexity users

Taking the LLM world by storm, DeepSeek R1 is now available for Perplexity users across the plant to a new user experience.

“DeepSeek R1 is now available on Perplexity to support deep web research. There’s a new Pro Search reasoning mode selector, along with OpenAI o1, with a transparent chain of thought into the model’s reasoning. We’re increasing the number of daily uses for both free and paid as add more capacity during the day. Stay tuned!” wrote Perplexity.

Pro users can change the model at any time from the prompt bar and start asking new questions.
