RWD, Performance Tesla Model Y Juniper coming later this year

Tesla has revealed that Rear Wheel Drive (RWD), Performance versions of Model Y Juniper are coming later this year, after the release of a limited edition electric vehicle (EV).
Last month, Tesla introduced a facelift version of Model Y with a front lightbar, which provides a different look to this EV compared to the outgoing model. It has several front enhancements for sleeker fascia and better aerodynamics.
The range has been optimized with new wheels as well as a quiet driving experience. The rear side has been redesigned with a cross-bar reflective lamp for a unique outlook. Plenty of interior upgrades are also included in this new model such as comfortable seats, separate passenger screens, ambient lighting, and more.
The company has currently listed the Launch Series Model Y, a limited edition to mark the start of the production. This model is listed for $59,990 in North America. It has 327 miles EPA estimated range, all wheel drive, 125mph top speed, and 0-60 acceleration in 4.1 seconds.

The Launch Series includes paid colors (for free), 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels, a tow package, a black and white interior as well as Full Self Driving (FSD) Supervised.
Lars Moravy, VP of vehicle engineering at Tesla said the company has started these sales with the launch series but a Rear-Wheel Drive, Performance, and a seven-seater model will come later this year.
The current listed Launch Series tops Performance, the top performance variant of the series priced at $51,490. Meanwhile, the existing Model Y RWD is priced at $44,990. That means, the company will reduce the price of the new Model Y once more versions are made available on the configurator.
Tesla has recently started the production of new Model Y across its four factories to deliver the cars to customers.
