Tesla Robotaxi mobile feature leaked in app code reference

Tesla is set to launch Robotaxi services in Austin this year and its feature preparations for this release are now uncovered in an app code reference.
Tesla App Updates has decompiled the latest 4.42.0 version including three new codes:
- APP_Cleanliness_Report_Upload_Picture with “rides_feedback_upload”
- Generate_phone_verification_OTP under verification
- Verify_phone_verification_OTP
It is correct, the first string is related to customer reviews after the ride. The other two code references might belong to ride confirmation with mobile OTP.

Robotaxi
At the We, Robot event, the electric vehicle (EV) company revealed its autonomous driving technologies and service rollout plan for public transportation.
This plan includes new vehicles including Cybercab and Robovan featuring fully autonomous self-driving software. However, Cybercab will debut in 2026-27 and the company plans to provide an early Robotaxi experience.
To do this, Tesla will use its existing fleet including Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and X as well as Cybertruck to start Robotaxi rides in Austin, Texas, and California. More recently, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk reaffirmed that the robotaxi service is on track to launch in June.
The company will expand to more American states by the end of this year and will continue through 2026.
Tesla is betting on this new market for its future growth featuring new technologies but its services won’t be different than existing players such as Waymo. You can book a ride from a pickup location and the robotaxi will take you to the selected destination.
Last year, Tesla also gave us a glimpse of its robotaxi mobile app UI but a final version is yet to come.
