xAI announces Grok 3 voice mode

Generative AI company xAI has released Grok 3 and showed a demo for its upcoming voice mode but it might take some time to make a debut among users.
The company shared a video teaser at the end of the Grok 3 live stream with a user interface. It’s like a natural conversation mode for users. The UI in the video revealed the Grok model selector a large screen with a voice warform and three buttons – share, speak, and close.
“Can you hear me, I am so excited to finally meet you. I can’t wait to chat and learn more about each other. I’ll talk to you soon” prompted the voice mode.
The company said that the voice assistant needs more “polishing”, which simply means that the mode requires more time to prepare for the launch. However, xAI developers said that the early version will launch soon, followed by more incremental improvements.

Prior to this announcement, Elon Musk’s partner Shivon Zilis, well known for her role at Neuralink has shared some insights on Grok 3’s voice mode and experience with this voice assistant as below.
“Instead of passively listening to an audiobook about physics while doing errands as usual I had an hour long back-and-forth conversation with Ara from Grok 3 about a bunch of scientific topics” Shivon wrote on her X account.
Following this post, Musk revealed that “Voice mode is still a little patchy, so probably launches in about a week, but it’s awesome”.
