Police investigating fire at Tesla charging station in Littleton, announced $5000 reward for information

Tesla Charging Station Fire in Littleton

Littleton Police Department has launched an investigation on a fire that brokout at Tesla charging station on Monday late night, the nature of the entire incident seems to be intentional.

The Littleton Police and Fire Departments were informed of the fire at midnight and dispatched the units at about 1:30 a.m. at the charging station located at The Point Shopping Center, 830 Constitution Avenue, Massachusetts.

The fire broke out at a scale, blacking out the charging station after large flames consumed the posts. The fire department wasn’t able to engage in the mission due to the technology involved.

Therefore, the Littleton Electric Light and Water Department had to respond immediately and cut the power supply to the station. Police officers launched a preliminary investigation as soon as the fire was controlled.

In a separate statement, Tesla confirmed that no customers were charging at the station at the time of the fire and it will begin replacing the burned posts and cables in less than 48 hours.

Littleton Police and Fire Department, The Massachusetts State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit to the State Fire Marshal’s Office are now investigating this fire and said that it appears to be set intentionally.

The police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for people who share information about the incident or anything suspicious that occurred before or after the fire at the Tesla charging station in Littleton.
