On March 11, US President Donald Trump has purchased a new Tesla Model S to show his support to the company CEO, Elon Musk in the wake of arson attacks and vandalism.

Trump selected the Model S among other Tesla models such as Cybertruck at the White House on Tuesday, presented by Musk himself. He guided the President through this vehicle and gave him an inside tour.

“Number one, it’s a great product — as good as it gets — and number two, because he has devoted his energy and his life to doing this, and I think he has been treated very unfairly.” said Trump when asked by the reporter.

After Trump’s Presidential Inauguration, Musk and his company has been targeted repeatedly by anti-Tesla groups. Earlier this month, a Tesla Supercharger in Littleton, Massachusetts was set on fire by unknown people.

That followed by France, where a dozen of Teslas were torched, causing more than 700,000 euros in damage.

This comes after Musk’s involvement in Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which aims to cut wasteful federal government fundings and make the spendings more efficient. However, his actions are causing discomfort in people against Trump administration, who’re allegedly involved into anti-Tesla activities.
