SpaceX is hiring Starship Raptor engine propulsion systems engineer

SpaceX has recently posted a Propulsion Systems Engineer for Raptor engine, and it’s a great opportunity for people who want to enter in the space industry with a direct route toward Starship.
The company is hiring for Propulsion Systems Engineer for Raptor engine feedline. This role will be responsible for developing the fluid systems to provide high-performance and manufacturable interplanetary vehicles.
Feedline carry liquid fuel and oxidizer from rocket storage to the engine. Feedlines work alongside the valves and other components to regulate the fuel’s flow.
The scope of responsibilities includes designing, analyzing, and building feedline system to feed liquid methane and liquid oxygen into Raptor engines through all phases of the flight.
It also includes sizing vehicle feedline components, engaging in detailed mechanical design, performing structural analysis and driving the manufacturing and build flow of parts and systems.
The engineer will have to develop 3D models and release associated drawings design documentation and reports. Also, the person must coordinate and execute development, qualification and acceptance testing of flight hardware.
The company is working on 3rd generation Raptor engine and expanding Starship manufacturing at the Starbase, Texas. This expansion and future operations will require more people to work together and this new job role might be a reflection of such requirements.
