SpaceX reused Falcon 9 booster 1088 for the third time in 23 days

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, SpaceX launched a new Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, completing a major milestone for booster 1088.

This was the fifth flight for the first stage, which previous employed for NROL-126, Transporter-12, SPHEREx, NROL-57 and now a Starlink mission.

After sending the second stage to orbit, the first stage returned to land on a droneship. That has wrapped up the booster 1088′ third flight in the past 23 days.

It showcases, SpaceX’s rapid reuse capabilities, which is faster than the 51 days record set in 2020 for the fastest turnaround. This is a block 5 boosters, which is certified for 20 missions, with SpaceX having recovered and reused boosters 423 times out of 436 attempts as of early 2025.
