Elon Musk returns to 24/7 at work for xAI, Tesla, and SpaceX after DOGE cooldown

The past few months have been quite difficult for Tesla and SpaceX, and these major firms have been missing a CEO named Elon Musk, who was involved in President Trump’s efficiency department, but he’s back on a 24/7 work routine at the three companies, including xAI.
Recently, X, formerly known as Twitter, was struck by a massive outage around the globe. It was reported that the X’s data center was having a problem, which may have been caused by fire, but the site is now up and running.
Reacting to this news, Musk wrote he’s now back at his 24/7 work schedule and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms.
“As evidenced by the X uptime issues this week, major operational improvements need to be made. The failover redundancy should have worked, but did not.” Musk wrote on X.
His reaction comes at a time when Tesla reported a sales decline of 13 percent year over year in the first quarter of this year. The profit has also declined by 71 percent, Industry analysts believe that Musk’s participation in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led to the sales downfall.
It was rumored that the Tesla board was not satisfied with Musk’s absence due to his extended involvement in DOGE and demanded that he need to show more at work. However, Robyn Denholm, Chairman of the board of directors, denied such rumors.
SpaceX is also facing a major challenge, which caused the Starship program to face two back-to-back setbacks during the 7th and 8th test flights. Through these tests missions, the upper stage has failed before completing the ascent burn phase.
The company was expecting the ship to wrap up its primary objectives by Flight 8, to attempt a tower catch with Flight 9. However, these two failures have extended the course of the entire test program. The SpaceX team has addressed the causes with rapid testing and fixes for Starship 9, which is aiming to launch next week.
Last but not least, xAI, its developers are working on Grok 3.5. For example, this update rollout is still pending, and users are waiting for its release. The xAI chief himself promised to push this model into production three weeks ago, but the deadline has not been met.
Since Elon Musk said he has resumed a 24/7 work routine, he may have already been looking into the ongoing challenges, technical issues and roadmaps to complete new products at xAI, Tesla, and SpaceX.
