xAI is bringing GitHub integration for Grok users
xAI has already released a couple of connected third-party services for Grok users, and soon GitHub will also join this growing list. Revealed by tipster @nima_owji, the AI maker is currently testing GitHub services for programmers who want an effortless coding experience.
GitHub will allow users to query and combine information from repositories and bring them directly to Grok. You can instantly discover code and information across the repositories and organization documents, without manual search or context switching.

With that in place, Grok can perform in-depth analysis of code changes, such as pull requests, identifying logical errors, and suggest an optimized algorithm while flagging potential edge cases. You can use the Grok Tasks feature to automate routine activities, including generating pull request summaries, documentation, boilerplate code, and unit tests.
The initial version of the app connection will be exclusively available for Grok Tasks to automate actions. You can connect GitHub to your Grok account with the “Connect” button inside Settings > Connected Apps. However, the actual release of this may take a few weeks.
