xAI is cooking a new feature called Extend Video that will allow users to extend the length of a Grok Imagine video clip with a button.

@testingcatalog revealed that the new feature is under preparation and it will be available on the Grok web app inside the three dots menu. Once selected, Grok will extend the length of the selected Imagine video by a few seconds.

@techdevnotes noted that the feature will let you extend a video multiple times, making it quite long. Meanwhile, the xAI enthusiast also revealed that this expansion could reach up to 6 seconds at once or more.

Imagine is a video generation feature that is part of the Grok app on mobile and web platforms. The process requires you to submit a scene description, and Imagine will create the video within a few seconds.

After generation, users can edit the video with anything they fancy. Recently, xAI introduced an option to upscale a generated clip, which improves the pixel quality to high definition.

xAI Founder and CEO, Elon Musk, previously mentioned that his company is pursuing minutes-long video generation with a new AI model, which is currently under training. He predicted that Grok AI will generate movies within two years.
