Google announces 18 months of AI Pro plan free in India

Google is giving away a massive offer to Indian users by bringing its AI Pro plan for free in India for 18 months at no extra cost, bringing its bundle of generative AI services and AI creation tool for free.

Actually, Google has partnered with Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecom operator, to offer this AI bundle with an unlimited 5G plan for free. However, it’s currently limited to users aged 25, but the plan here is to expand its access to all users across the country.

Eligible Jio users can get the AI Pro plan, including the Gemini 2.5 Pro model in the Gemini app, higher limits to create images and videos with Nano Banana, Veo 3.1 models, and NotebookLM for study and research. Users will also benefit from 2 TB of cloud storage for Google Photos, Gmail, Drive, and WhatsApp backup. This entire free package is valued at around 35,000 INR (approximately $400).

Eligible users need to open the MyJio app and search for the offer banner on the home screen, tap on it, and claim the offer.
